Frankincense is the new single from Donegal based singer/ songwriter Maria McCormack. It is the first single to be released of the long awaited 2nd album from Maria.

The song itself is written about a time when Maria was going through a long term sickness that caused her to not be able to speak for long periods of time and was left with just a stutter. A friend advised her to put Frankincence oil on a hanky and keep it in her bra so she would be breathing in the oil all the time. The oil is used to relieve stress. Maria tells us that the chorus " Ahhhhhhhh" is her interperating how she felt when she couldnt speak and internally she was screaming.


Marias debut album " I Choose To Love " first release , Wished Harder Before, went to number 6 in the RTE Radio playcharts after spending two weeks on the recommended playlist.
